One of my favorite Internet search engines Google is at it again. Talk about having a marketing plan and working it, Google wastes no time in implementing their strategy to increase their market dominance and gain new markets shares to boot. Recently Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion and gained dominance in the online video revolution. Google strategically sealed the deal with YouTube only hours after they unveiled three separate agreements with media companies to counter the threat of copyright-infringement lawsuits. Last year Google spent $130.5 million buying a total of 15 small companies. You probably don’t have that kind of money to spend on your marketing campaign, but you can clearly see that they have a marketing strategy and working it to the max. Definitely marketing communications at its best.
