As a small business, understanding the marketing process will help you to advertise your product or service by targeting the right market.  ALesih agreed and wrote, “Owners of small businesses usually have limited capital or resources for their marketing campaign. So, it is right that they concentrate their efforts on one or a few key market segments (target market) because it is where they get the most return from small investments. Targeting is easy. You can target your customer by location, where you specialize in serving the needs of the customer in the particular place. OR you can target your market by customer segmentation where you identify those people most likely to buy the product or service and targeting those groups.”  A small business can greatly benefit from a marketing concept implement ting the entire marketing strategy.
