You Must Look Them in the Eyes

As a little girl growing up in the south, my grandmother would always tell me to look them in the eyes.  Well, the them turned out to be everyone.  She would also say that you could tell what a person was like or about by the way they greeted you and whether or not they could look you in the eye.  And as I practiced looking someone is the eyes when I greeted them and just talking in general has helped me to be a very good judge of character.  For business purposes, making eye contact with the person you are greeting says that you are interested in meeting them and are focused on what they have to say and offer.  Hey, you can really say a lot by your tone of action.
