
Contrary to popular belief, the office party is not the place to finally let your hair down and let it all hang out. There is basic party etiquette to adhere to because the office party is still more about office than about party. The office is your place of work and the other attendees are your boss, co-workers and their spouses, so maintaining a manner of professionalism is best way to go. This is not the time to drink too much, get to friendly and fresh with a co-worker or tell the boss off. Making a public spectacle of yourself will only alienate you and possibly cost you your job. Aside from the fact that drinking and driving is definitely against the law.
