In a recent post, ‘There’s More to Business Meeting Seating than Meets the Eye,’ I gave a run down of some business seating arrangements that I ran across in an article. I admitted that I had not considered that so much effort went into the seating arrangements for a business meeting. I chose the side-by-side seating arrangement as my favorite arrangement because it says, “You are here to learn, not to talk.” Rehab disagreed, “You are here to listen, not to talk.” A disappointing term for the poor employees. Everyone should be able to frankly speak out and share their ideas from wherever they may be seated. It does put a good impression on business too.” This may be true Rehab to a certain degree. Have you considered that the crowd may be a number so large that it would not be advantageous to take comments, suggestions or ideas? And the topic or subject may not be conducive to gathering feedback, at least not from that meeting. Just a thought. Thanks for your comment. I believe that differences of opinion keeps us open for different points of view.
