
When there is a problem in the workplace, seek a way to approach finding a solution to solve the problem without putting the person that is the problem or that created the problem on the defensive. Similarly to marketing, analyzing and finding a solution to the problem may require you to do some creative thinking. In other words, think out of the box. At the solution stage will also be the perfect opportunity to engage and solicit suggestions from the person himself as to what would be some appropriate solutions to try in solving this problem. I am sure this is an approach most organizations don’t consider, but it is a definite way to keep everyone off of the defensive and remain engaged in correcting what needs to be corrected.
