Communication is important when you are dealing with people period and it becomes paramount when you have to get a problem resolved. Having spent 21/2 hours on the phone with Dell cost me time and money. I have no way to recoup my losses and still did not get my problem resolved. At the same time, remember I shared with you that I was getting my house painted, (if I didn’t share, well; I’m getting my house painted) the contractors doing the painting got upset with me because they have not finished and wanted me to give them some money since they have completed half of the job. Right about now I am a “cranky” customer. “C” in Cranky Customer Stands for Communication Pitfall.” The painting contractors want to change our agreement to get paid in full after the job is done. Dell has not held up their part of the agreement either, I paid for extended warranty---that expires in September 2010!!!!!! Bottom line, my failure to communicate has not been productive for me at all. Am I the only one dealing with the frustration of poor customer service? Or is just plain old incompetence?
