I think that everyone knows you begin eating after everyone has been served. I missed this next one. Breaking your bread into small pieces is proper etiquette and buttering only one or two bites at a time, place the butter dish on the bread plate, but not on the bread. Bring food to your mouth; don’t lower your mouth to the food. Please chew with your mouth closed, scoop food away from you and don’t talk with your mouth full. Use your saucer to place your spoon on and cut your food one piece at a time. Taste the food before you season it. Refrain from smoking and don’t pick your teeth. Ladies, never reapply lipstick or makeup at the table. If you must spit food out of your mouth, don’t spit it into the napkin, rather remove with your eating utensil and place on edge of your plate. Remember to take small bites as to afford you the opportunity to have conversation without chewing and swallowing large amounts of food. I learned some things from researching this one!
