In the world of business today, there’s a proper way to do everything and if you want to take your business to the next level, you need to know how to operate effectively mastering every skill you can, business dining included.  When passing the food, (when I attended social events, I remember I always ate before I left home so when the food was passed around, I would get very small portions) always pass to the right.  I also ate before I went because I didn’t want offend the host by not eating the sometimes terrible food at business social events.  The exception to passing to the right rule is if you are the closet to the dish or item requested, then pass to your left.  The salt and pepper always go together.  And ask the person nearest you to pass items after they have used it.
