I was so impressed with the Department of Veterans Affairs ability to-- first communicate, and secondly to follow-up, I decided to give a monthly ‘Ability to Effectively Communicate Award’ to a company that demonstrates their effective communication skills to include follow-up, if necessary. It is not often that you get an opportunity to praise a company for getting the job done in an excellent manner. I believe to get the job done in a superior manner; you must effectively communicate what the requirements are. I am a veteran and in May I received a letter informing all servicepersons and veterans of a possible breach of security of our personal information. On today, I received a follow-up letter stating that after an ongoing investigation, the FBI has determined that our information has not been accessed or compromised. I haven’t worked out all the details yet, but soon I’ll let you know, in the meantime, if you have any nominees, send me a comment and I’ll check them out. I think I have my first award recipient.
