Small to Medium organizations don’t have to have an enormous advertising budget to get a very successful and profitable marketing campaign.  Case in point, I recently read a marketing strategy implemented by Disney and I would like to share it with you.  First time visitors to Disneyland and Disney World are given surveys and are asked what sticks in their minds most about their visit to either park.  Overwhelmingly the number one answer is the cleanliness of the parks.  The number two answer is the authenticity of the environments.  Cleaning maintenance, something that had to be done anyway, became a marketing strategy.  Disney’s marketing pros turned those comments from people visiting the parks into marketing.  They used this information to stimulate referrals, to stimulate word-of-mouth advertising.   When it comes to marketing and advertising, always remember to think out of the box!
