Always use positive language when trying to adapt a new communication style. This can be the beginning of taking control in your life. Remember, the me I see is the me I’ll be! One of the first principles I teach in my communication seminars is to see yourself as a success. Before you attempt to change anything, you must first see yourself there (where you desire to be). If you can’t see yourself there, odds are you won’t be successful in making the change. Once you accept your change in your mind with a clear vision, change your language to project a positive image. As you continue to practice these principles and new behavior, you’ll begin to like what you hear and see and your co-workers will appreciate the new you! Eventually.
