One of the things I’ve learned in business is that it is better to start over from scratch than to keep moving in a direction where drowning is the next step. That’s where the re-evaluation comes in. Taking a look back to remember why you went into business in the first place. I had a janitorial and residential cleaning business and I did everything from starting the business to accounting, marketing, advertising, managing, and working. My reason for working was to set a standard for my clients and the people that worked for me. I had to re-evaluate the business after I stopped physically working because the employees could not (or would not) continue the standards that I had established and the clients would not accept less, so the business started to decrease. So much so that I made a decision to sell before I lost everything. I re-evaluated and then started a new business.
