Being creative in marketing can pay off if you learn how to master, let’s coin a phrase “creativity marketing.” Creativity marketing can be thought of as marketing for small to medium business that do not want to increase advertising budget dollars or do not have the money for an advertising budget starting out. Word-of-mouth advertising can work just by doing some things that should be done anyway, like Disney did. Or how about for example in a retail type business, excellence and creativity in the store environment and in customer service can most certainly stimulate referrals. My point is, don’t give up. Keep an eye on the competition, maybe some of their marketing and advertising can give you one up on them by applying “creativity marketing,” it did for Netzero when AOL made it’s bold marketing move. Go ahead and try it, you might like it, it won’t cost you anything---it’s FREE!

I agree completely, the most successful marketers accumulate a 'swipefile' of other people's advertisements so they can refer to them when looking for ideas and combine those ideas with their own creativity.
