A year after the devastating effects of hurricane Katrina, federal agencies are slow to release available funds from the $110 billion approved to help the victims rebuild their homes and lives. Only $44 billion has been spent and thousands of people are still waiting on money already allocated for Katrina recovery. There are homeowners who have waited for months for trailers that have not yet arrived, merchants who worry over government loans still pending and town officials frustrated by rebuilding efforts stalled by the vagaries of federal regulations, stated in an article in the LA Times. There has definitely been a breakdown in the lines of communications within the government itself; therefore the victims of this disaster are also victims of our government’s inability to manage its business.

You are right! Our government makes a lot of victims in US, not only in other countries.
