Earlier this year I went to a large retailer with my daughter in search of laminate wood flooring for her new condo. The carpet was not a good thing because of the pets, so we thought laminate flooring would be the best choice and because of the new technology in flooring products, we were sure we could get all the latest information we needed from the salesman in the store. After going through two, we finally found one that could give us the information we needed to make our choice. So my questions are, do your salesperson really know your products as well as your customers need them to? Are your salespersons problem solvers? Do they understand how your products solve customer’s problems? If the answer is no, it shouldn't be.
